She was born Feb. 21, 1926, in Vicksburg, Miss. The founder and pastor
of Greater Calvary Baptist Church, she was a 53-year resident of Las Vegas
and a member of Eastern Star, Nevada Interstate Baptist Convention and
Pride of the West District Association.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Nunley, Rose Parker, Erma Jean
and Gina; sons, the Rev. Sam and the Rev. Albert; all of Las Vegas; and
two granddaughters.

Betsey Parkin
Betsey Lynn Parkin, 40, died Thursday.
She was born June 3, 1959, in Durango, Colo. A meter reader for the
Las Vegas Water District, she was a resident of Boulder City.
She is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Casie Thibodeaux; stepson,
Michael; and stepdaughter, Susan, all of Boulder City; and father and stepmother,
James Bales and Peggy Bales, both of Lafayette, La.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethany Baptist Church. Burial
is private. Hites Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Mildred Reeves
Mildred E. Reeves, 80, died Wednesday.
She was born Oct. 15, 1919, in Los Angeles. A homemaker, she was an
18-year resident of Las Vegas.
She is survived by her husband, E. Thomas; and daughter, Carol Bosley,
both of Las Vegas; brother, Jack Bedford of Huntington Beach, Calif.; three
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 2 p.m. Saturday at
Palm Mortuary-Cheyenne.

Hermann Ritsch
Hermann H. Ritsch, 78, died Jan. 5 at a Las Vegas hospital.
He was born Oct. 8, 1921, in Germany. A retired apartment manager,
he was a 14-year resident of Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine; and daughter, Nybia Rojas, both
of Las Vegas; sons, Miguel Kirchheim of Argentina, and Richard Kirchheim,
Erick Kirchheim and Friedrich Kirchheim, all of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren;
and one great-grandchild.
Private services were held. Affordable Cremation & Burial Service
handled arrangements.

Elmer Robinson
Elmer Smith Robinson, 88, died Wednesday at a Boulder City hospital.
He was born Oct. 9, 1911, in Kanab, Utah. An Army veteran of World
War II, he was a retired crane operator for Titanium Metals Corp., a 47-year
resident of Henderson and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Ora; and daughters, Estelle Kohler, Gwen
Hughes and Bonnie Jacobsen, all of Henderson; sons, Richard of Kanab, and
Larry and Paul, both of Henderson; 53 grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren;
and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at Palm Mortuary-Henderson
and one hour prior to services at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Desert Rose chapel
of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Arthur P. Sutton, 85, died Jan. 4 at a Henderson hospital.
He was born April 5, 1914, in Canada. A machinist and a tool and die
inspector in the aerospace industry, he was a 13-year resident of Boulder
City.
He is survived by his wife, Juliette; sons, Donald of Tennessee and
Otto of California; daughter, Janet Wilson of Boulder City; one sister;
10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Robert Taylor
Robert Eugene Taylor, 59, died Wednesday at a local hospice.
He was born June 15, 1940, in Buffalo, N.Y. A retired Navy veteran,
he was an associate for a building company and a 10-year resident of Las
Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Frances "Frankie"; and daughter, Mykkee
Rigolizzo, both of Las Vegas; sons, Frank Cook of Portland, Maine, and
Michael Cook of Massachusetts; brother, Keith of Mooresville, N.C.; sisters,
Linda Phillis of Cleveland; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Davis Funeral Home. Burial
is private.

Visitation for Francis J. "Frank" Travers, who died Monday, will be
from noon to 8 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. today at Palm Mortuary-Eastern.
Mass will be celebrated at noon Saturday at St. Christopher Catholic Church,
followed by burial at Palm Valley View Memorial Park. The family requests
